A good climate in your house is the basis for healthy animals and optimal performance. High-quality ventilation chimneys contribute to an optimal living environment for your animals. The correct tip clearance for the fan in combination with an aerodynamically designed chimney ensures an optimal air output.
Scan-Air produces three types of ventilation chimneys:
Unimix intake chimney U-IK
The Scan-Air “Unimix” intake chimney ensures perfect air distribution in your barn. With its unique air divider, the air can be provided in all directions at all times. The integrated recirculation part allows the cold outside air to mix with the warm inside barn air. This prevents cold airdrop at minimum ventilation and makes the system suitable for equal pressure ventilation in your poultry- / calves- / pig- / or goat barn. An equal pressure system consists of both intake- and exhaust chimneys. Both intake- and exhaust air volumes can be controlled separately. In this way, you’ll prevent leakages of air through pop holes or opened doors.
The Unimix chimney is made entirely out of high-density plastic and stainless steel which makes the system hygienic and durable. Its “Unimix” intake system is available in the diameters ø645 / ø730 / ø820 / ø920.
To prevent condensation, the upper part of the chimney is insulated. This insulated part is available in HDPE plastic or PUR.
With the belimo motor, which is connected to a damper, the volume mix recirculation/outside air is controlled.
Intake chimney ILK
By far the most climate problems in the barn are caused by the inlet of the air. It is essential getting the fresh air well divided, with the right speed for your animals.
When it is not practically possible to work with wall inlets, or if you want to ventilate on the basis of equal pressure, the Scan-Air chimneys are the right chimneys to perfectly control the air inlet in your house.
The intake chimneys can get the air inside by negative pressure or with an intake fan.
Exhaust chimney AVK
Good exhaust chimneys contribute to an optimal living environment for your animals. The correct impeller clearance for the fan in combination with an aerodynamically designed chimney ensures optimal airflow. With the Scan-Air exhaust chimney, you have the right chimney to perfectly control the air exhaust in your house.
In order to ensure that the fan will perform optimally, we recommend using an inflow ring. An inflow ring reduces the inflow resistance by about 15 – 20%.
With the HDPE chimney, the impellor clearance of the fan must be almost the same everywhere. Therefore we deliver a reinforcement ring that can be mounted at impellor height.
