The daylight supply has become an increasingly important part of houses in recent years, both in new construction and renovation. In addition to stricter welfare requirements, this is also due to the pleasant effect of daylight on the living environment of the animal and the working environment of the animal caretaker. Daylight thus contributes to more efficient production, which results in an improved operating result.
Side windows
In addition to daylight systems for the roof (blackout roof windows DR-SK), Scan-Air also has daylight systems for the side wall. These window panels are mainly used in new construction. The window panels can be designed with or without a blackout system, depending on the animal group where the window panels are used. Furthermore, the window panels can be made with clear or opal (milky white) polycarbonate. In addition, the window panels can be combined with Scan-Air wall inlets. Because both the window panels and the wall inlets come from the Optiflex product line, the wall inlets can be integrated into the daylight system. Benefits
The blackout window panel RP-SK is equipped with Scan-Air’s unique blackout system. This system works with integrated counter rotating valves. This allows the window panels to be steplessly blacked out from 0-100%. In addition, all moving parts are protected against dust and/or moisture, which contributes to the life of the window panels. Furthermore, the counter rotating valves ensure a uniform light distribution. This prevents the formation of shadows, so that the incoming daylight has no influence on the distribution of the animals in the barn. In addition, the window panels have a high insulation value, because the panels are completely closed with polycarbonate on two sides. The insulation value can be further increased by filling the valves with PU.
Suitable dimensions
One of the core values of Scan-Air’s products is suitable dimensions. This is also the case with the window panels, making them suitable for any recess. For the dimensions, the required daylight surface or available recess in the side wall is taken as the starting point. It is then checked whether wall inlets are integrated in the daylight system. The window panels with suitable dimensions are then produced on the basis of this data. The width can vary between 658 and 2618 mm and the height between 400 and 1120 mm per window panel. The depth is at least 200 mm and can be extended according to the depth of the side wall in which the window panels are placed. Optionally, a cover flange can be supplied, which guarantees a neat finish.
